CRANIO FIX / SPEEDY FLAP
CRANIO FIX / SPEEDY FLAP
- One-Step Application: Employs holding and applying forceps to firmly lock the clamp against the cranium in a single tightening motion.
- Material & Sizing: Made from titanium alloy, with disk covers available in 12 mm, 16 mm, and 20 mm diameters to accommodate varying craniotomy gaps.
- Rod Cutter: Includes a specific instrument to cut off the remaining protruding portion of the rod immediately above the upper clamp.
- Radiolucency: Designed to be static-free and non-obstructive during CT and MRI scans.
CranioFix and Speedy Flap are both clamp-based neurosurgical systems used to rapidly and securely reattach a patient’s bone flap (the section of skull removed during a craniotomy).
Both eliminate the need for traditional titanium plates, screws, or wires.
They function by locking the bone flap in place, providing rigid fixation while significantly reducing surgery time compared to traditional titanium plates and wires.
